If your site looks different from the theme demo, don’t worry – this is completely normal. Demos are filled with example text, images, and pages to show what the theme can do. When you install the theme, your site is still empty, so it won’t match the demo right away.
To make your site look like the demo:
- Add your own content. Create some pages and posts, upload images, and customize the settings.
- Use the demo import feature. Our themes let you import demo content with one click. This fills your site with the same layout and sample content as the demo. After that, you can simply change the text and images to your own.
Check Your Homepage Settings
Sometimes the homepage isn’t showing correctly because of the Reading settings.
- Go to Settings > Reading in your dashboard.
- Look at the “Your homepage displays” section.
- If your theme shows posts on the homepage, choose “Your latest posts.”
- If your theme has a special homepage layout, pick “A static page” and set it to the page you want as your homepage.
Once that’s done, your site should start to look much closer to the demo. Just keep adding your own content to bring it to life!
